Maru is a contemporary Japanese restaurant with traditional roots, offering a range of dishes in a relaxed yet stylish environment.
We are tucked away in a small side street just a few minutes walk from Omotesando subway station in Tokyo’s central Aoyama district.
In a simple but elegant, wood panelled room we prepare dishes combining traditional Japanese and modern influences in an open-kitchen style.
We pride ourselves on warm, friendly service and a regularly changing menu, which is based on fresh, seasonal ingredients and a carefully selected range of Japanese sake, shochu and wines from around the world.
You can choose to sit at our long, wooden counter if you are in a small party, or at a comfortable banquette table. There are also three comfortable, private tatami rooms which seat from two to eight people.
Maru is a non-smoking restaurant although smoking is permitted in the private rooms.
